FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER APRIL 21, 2024

 

MOTHER’S DAY:

As we prepare to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 12th we are putting out the envelopes for prayer requests for both the living and the dead. Please take an envelope and put the name of your mother so that we can pray for her during May.

R.C.I.A

. – registration is always open for adults 18 years old and up who need the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist. If you are planning to get married and have not done any sacraments please register with Ms. Gina in the rectory by calling (212) 534 – 1350 from Tuesday to Friday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm for more information. If you are Baptized please bring a copy of the Baptism Certificate if not baptized please bring a copy of your birth certificate.

COMBINED MASSES:

Effective this month, April, we will celebrate the Wednesday and Saturday masses with more than one intention. Please always contact the secretary for your mass intentions.

HELP NEEDED:

We need men from our parish who can donate an hour or two to help us move the garbage from different parts of the church to the garage. The dates for the collection of garbage are Tuesday, April 23rd, and 25th. On Friday, April 26, and Saturday 27th, we will load the garbage into the dumpster

SANCTUARY LAMP:

has been requested by Amparo Betancur in gratitude for favors received and blessings bestowed on the Vaquez Betancur family and for other necessities of the same family. We join the family in gratitude to god Our Father through the intercession of Our Lady in May.

SAINT JOSEPH THE WORKER TRIDUUM:

We are inviting our parishioners to the triduum of Saint Joseph the worker, which will start on Sunday, April 28th at 10:00 am. On Monday, April 29th the Triduum will be held at 6:00 pm followed by Mass. On Tuesday, April 30th we shall have our final day of prayer of the Triduum at 6:00 pm followed by Mass. We shall celebrate the Mass in honor of Saint Joseph the Worker on Wednesday, May 1st at 7:00 pm and all are welcome.

REGISTRATION IN THE PARISH:

I remind registered members to please use the envelopes for the offertory. Letters of reference, immigration, recommendation and sponsors are given to registered members who use their envelopes and are active in the parish. If for some serious reason you cannot register please talk to the secretary beforehand.

SPANISH CHOIR RECOLLECTION:

The Spanish choir will have their recollection on Saturday, April 27th from 10 am to 2 pm – please make sure that you are present physically.

UMBRELLAS AND WALKING STICKS:

If you use an umbrella or a walking stick to come to church, please put it lying on the floor under the pew to avoid accidents. Thank you for your understanding.

MOVIMIENTO MATRIMONIAL CATOLICO:

will be holding its ninth congress. This year’s theme is united in love. Let us meet at Cardinal Hayes High School, 650 Grand Concourse Blvd, Bronx, NY 10451 on May 4th, 2024. Guest speakers: Wilson Tamayo, from Lazos de Amor Mariano, Hermana Ylma Acevedo, and Ysaac Rodgriguez will be the musician. The congress is open to all couples married or just courting you are invited to attend. The donation is fifty dollars per couple.
